Pub Trivia Mystery Murder Challenge: The Case of the Poisoned Patron

Note - Because this event has sold out on March 27th, April 3rd, and May 1st, and May 29th we're running it a fifth time. (It will feature the same questions, so we ask that you not sign up for multiple events.)

For months, the local pub was home to a run-of-the-mill trivia game. Until one night, it was home to a murder! A local player dropped dead in this otherwise friendly battle of wits, and the game hasn't run again since... until tonight.

Tonight, we're enlisting your help to solve this mystery the only way we know how: Through a game of pub trivia. Each round, your group will answer trivia questions, which will, in turn, unlock details of the murder, uncover backstories and ultimately answer the greatest question of them all: Whodunnit?

So form a team with your sleuthiest friends and see if you can solve The Case of The Poisoned Patron!

Purchase your tickets here.

Please note: This is not a theatrical production featuring actors or audience roles or some of the other staples of a murder mystery production, rather this is a trivia game with a murder mystery puzzle interwoven.

Traitors: A Real Life Competition of Traitors and Faithfuls

Join us for a night where you'll be pitted against your fellow attendees in a competition of deceit, challenges, murders, and over-the-top Scottish accents,* in an event that (according to our lawyers) is in no way inspired by the copywritten material of the hit Peacock TV show.

At the beginning of the night, several attendees will secretly be given the role of Traitor, making them murderers who must work to eliminate as many Faithfuls as they can without being detected. While others will be the Faithfuls, working to detect the murderers and eliminate them from the game. Throughout the event, there will be challenges where players can both earn protection from murder and feed the (not very large) prize pot, clandestine killings, and round-table sessions where players will be accused and the suspected Traitors will be eliminated. At the end of the night, if the Faithfuls have successfully rooted out all the Traitors, then any of them still standing will split the prize pot and the glory. But if any Traitors are still in their midst, then it will be the dark side that takes home the honor and the spoils of victory.

No knowledge of the TV show that may or may not have inspired this competition is required.

*Presence of Scottish accent is not guaranteed. All of our hosts are different and in some cases, trust us, you don't want to hear them attempt to give rules explanations in an attempted accent.

Board Game Speed Dating with Quirk Events

Searching for a partner can be horrifically painful. But board games are always awesome. So what if you combined board games and finding a partner?

Picture this: You sit down for a night of games. A gaming concierge walks you through several games over the course of the night. You play classics you love and discover brand new games you've never heard of, playing each with a different group of fun singles. All while in a great establishment with plenty of delicious options on tap. At the end of the night, you give your gaming concierge a list of the folks you met that you'd like to date and a list of those you met that you'd like to just hang out with as friends. If any two people put down the same name as each other in either column, then your gaming concierge will make sure you get each other's e-mail address and you can coordinate a time to hang out.

Best case scenario: You find true love, discover some awesome board games, and make some new friends.

Bad case scenario: You accomplish only one of those three things, which is still pretty great.

Worst case scenario: There will be alcohol.

No worries, we'll have plenty to choose from, like, "When are you the happiest?" and, "If you were going to become close friends with me, what would I need to know about you?" We'll give you ground rules to make sure you feel comfortable and safe sharing as much of yourself as possible while still feeling in complete control of how much you divulge.

Skip the Small Talk

Do you wish you could have more of the kinds of conversations you have late at night where for some reason, you feel safe talking about the things you actually care about?

Bring your friends (or come by yourself) and spend your Thursday night at an event where you know everyone else is there for the same reason.

We'll be offering "big talk" conversational prompts on them to get you started, and we'll have lots of structure to make sure that you actually talk to people and that it's not awkward. Not feeling like answering a particular question? No worries, we'll have plenty to choose from, like, "When are you the happiest?" and, "If you were going to become close friends with me, what would I need to know about you?" We'll give you ground rules to make sure you feel comfortable and safe sharing as much of yourself as possible while still feeling in complete control of how much you divulge.

Secure your spot here.
